Sammy's Birthday

Today is our well loved Labrador retrievers 9th birthday. We made a yummy cake for him with his favorite vegetables in it (carrots, broccoli). We also gave him his favorite toy, the squeaky football. Today we had one of Sammy's friends Ginger the dog down the street over to celebrate! We are very grateful for our wonderful dog! Happy Birthday Sammy!

Migrating snow geese at Squaw Creek

While we were on vacation we went to Squaw Creek National wildlife refuge. We saw a lot of snow geese, some deer, bald eagles, and some other birds too. There are thousands of snow geese on the large lake, the birds are extremely loud. The drive around the refuge was very beautiful too!

Field trip to the Nutcracker

This week we went to the Nutcracker and saw a shortened performance. The show was at a beautiful theater. We met a lot of our home school group there, to watch the show.

Christmas lights

Yesterday we put our Christmas lights up. I think they look very nice!

Fun at our Grandparents house

At our grandparents house we watched some old 8mm home movies of Mom and Aunt Tray's childhood. Uncle Pat did a great job of working the machine. We also played PacMan and a lot a Backgammon. Grandpa had a warm fire going too.

Football at Grandpa John's

Last week at Grandpa John's house Elliot played football with his uncles and grandpa. Afterwards we played baseball together. I especially liked playing with James, he is a 7 month old Yellow lab.

Thanksgiving at Grandma Kathy's

Last week we had Thanksgiving at Grandma Kathy's house. We enjoyed time with Nate, Jon and Carly, Brad and Julie, Tyler, and Max. We enjoyed eating a lot of food, and watching slides of Grandma Kathy and Brads childhood. I especially enjoyed playing backgammon with Jon and Carly, Max, and Brad.
