The State Fair

Although it was raining we still went to the State Fair, and we had a great time! We were able to look at the 4-H fair entry's. Congratulations Becca that your baby cardigan went to state. In the Birthing pavilion and saw lambs, piglets, and baby chicks.

I realize that this picture is off the back of the lambs head, but I still think it is very cute. :)

At the petting zoo we saw a baby giraffe, zebra, and kangaroo.

The zebra wouldn't hold still.

Later on we saw a presentation on raptors, by pioneer park. They showed us a barn owl, barred owl, and a screech owl.

Celebrating Grandpa's Birthday

For Grandpa's birthday we rented a pontoon boat on Lake Jacomo. Elliot was the only one who was brave enough to swim. We also fished a little bit too.
While we were in the boat mom started an oyster cracker game. What we did was open our mouths wide and then let the other person try to throw crackers in our mouth! (Elliot's wearing my sunglasses.)

Afterward we went to the Blue Springs Lake to feed the carp. WOW, there were so many carp! If you stood on the side of the dock the fish would stick their mouths out of the water and beg for food. Dad laid down on the dock and tried to catch one, but they don't like being touched.

Chick-fil-a

We LOVE Chick-fil-a. Yesterday we ate their for the first time (except dad has been their before)!! We were in Kansas City for My Grandpa's 75th birthday. :)

Baby Bunnies

Dad found three baby bunnies in the backyard Saturday. Aren't they cute!? I took care of them for 3 days before we let them go in a nearby park.
