Yesterday the boys fully enjoyed paint balling for the first time! They absolutely loved it! Here is a picture of Joel and Manny loading the gun.

This weekend we walked around downtown with some good friends from our church! We had a lot of fun exploring the park and enjoying the downtown shops. :)

O how true!
These crocuses are the first flowers I have seen in bloom!! Aren't the pretty?
We named this robin Casey, he's so cute!
This flower arrangement was in the passageway downtown. I love the colors!

My prayer

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me

Break my heart for what breaks yours
everything I am for your kingdoms cause
as I go from nothing to
eternity

- "Hosanna" Hillsong united lyrics

How deep the fathers love for us

I will not boast in anything
no gifts, no power, no wisdom
but I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from his reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Les Mis in the parade

Today the Les Mis actors marched in the St. Patricks day parade! We had a lot of fun! Most of our cast could not come, but we braved the cold and sang our hearts out!

There was a lot of waiting at the beginning.

I'm the one in the brown hat and black vest.

(smiles!)

Me and my lovely friend Anna. Anna is soo awesome! Even though she is not in Les Mis she still marched with us, she didn't even know the songs. You rock Anna!

Les Miserables!

Do you hear the people sing, singing the songs of angry men? It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums, there is a life about to start when tomorrow come!

Do you know that Les Miserables is coming to Omaha?
The Omaha home school community is going to be preforming the musical of Les Miserables, and I am part of it! This musical is going to be amazing! I am soo thrilled! If you are home schooled or if you are not home schooled, all of you should come! It is going to be epic! Please come!

The performance nights are April 20th, 23rd, 27th and 29th. Mark you calendar!
You can purchase tickets at www.homeschoollesmis.com
(and if you come please contact me some how so that I can find you and say Hi!)

tulips

I thought this picture was very cool. :) Do you like it?

roses

These are lovely pink roses! Aren't they beautiful?

Freesia

This lovely flower is called Freesia. These flowers are very fragrant, they smell beautiful! So, these flowers can be added to an arrangement to contribute a lovely scent.

Notice the sparkles in the petals, can you see them? It looks like pollen but it's not. :)

Lilies

I have enjoyed these lovely lilies very much this week. They are just beautiful! I love the pink color. These flowers are almost royal looking. I read in books that lilies add a lot of texture and shape to floral arrangements. They remind me of the verse:

If God adorns the flowers so beautiful, doesn't it make sense that he would lavish even more support and love on his children?

Mathew 6:29 NIV
(and He does!)

This is a picture of the lilies with my beautiful block print that my lovely friend Julia gave me! :)

African Violets

As you already know I love flowers and have been studying them quite often. So I thought I would do a long string of posts about them with all of the pictures I have taken recently. Enjoy!

These are lovely African violets.

I couldn't really get a picture to demonstrate this but I went outside to take a picture of the violet because inside the lighting made the petals look more dull than they really were. When I took it outside (it was a cloudy day today) I think the clouds or maybe the sun brought out this brilliant blue color, it looked almost like L.E.D. lights. Wow, what an amazing God we serve.

He has made everything beautiful in it's time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

look...

...at this lovely picture of green trees and green grass. Wow. What a wonderful picture to see during these long drawn out months of winter. :)

march pear pic

This month I used a red pear, and posed it with my adorable button journal that I love dearly, I like to store all my favorite verses in it! This pear is very pretty isn't it? I like how the stripes in the pears color were highlighted in the black in white picture. I thought the first picture was neat because of the pear shaped shadow. :) let me know your thoughts!
