my painting

So I was listening to this Norah Jones song called "Painter Song" very good song! It inspired me to paint a picture. :) Imagine that?! So, I cut open a paper whole foods bag and duct taped (probably not a good idea) it to the wall, and go out my three purple paint samples (that I bought for my room) and my oil pastels and painted a random picture. It was fun. :) I got paint on my toes, which then transferred onto the wood floor and I put the oil pastels on my bed and believe it or not the oil color got onto my sheets. Oh well. I'll worry about that later.
I wrote "He who promised is faithful" in white pastel across the top of my painting. You can't read it cause it's backwards in this picture :/ sorry about that! I got that phrase from Hebrews 10:23 where The Bible says Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful I was reminded of that verse in Bible study this morning while I was mindlessly flipping through the new testament and I had this verse underlined in pink and highlighted in blue. That'll wake you up! During worship today we sang How Deep a fathers love for us. Such a wonderful song! When the lyrics said "I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no power, no wisdom, but I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection" Once again I was reminded of He who promised is faithful. He is all we have to boast in and what a great promise he has given us. :)
Now I will tell you what my picture is of. On the right side there is a lot of different flower types in all different colors. The left side is the mountain scape which then fades into rolling green hills with a patch of blue flowers. The hills then fade into a beach, with a palm tree and a flying kite with whales in the surf. In the right top corner is the sun, big and orange. :)

Cinnamon Challenge

Elliot decided he wanted to give the cinnamon challenge a try...for those of you that don't know the cinnamon challenge is the challenge to swallow a spoonful of cinnamon. Which is really dangerous (somebody's lung collapsed doing it). Elliot changed it to trying to keep the cinnamon in his mouth for 30 seconds. :) Enjoy the video.

Lemon Tea cookie

I finally made a lemon dessert! Yippee :) I decided to make lemon tea cookies. I found the recipe in our Better Homes and Garden cookbook. They're very lemony and good. Just wanted to report that I finally fulfilled my lemon dessert task. :)

ugh.

Look at how messy my room is. Trust me you don't want to see what the rest of the apartment looks like. It's sooo cluttered!! I don't know where to start. I just keep getting it messier and messier and then its the end of the day and I'm tired, so i just go to bed. Bad cycle! First I get everything off the floor and onto my bed, then I start sorting it out and putting away separate types then I get bored of that after like 5 minutes and do something else. Before I know it it's 11:30 pm and all this junk is on my bed so I just throw it on the floor and go through the same thing the next day. :(
This cycle stops here! I'm going to clean it all up. Wish me luck :)

Random pictures

Which one is your favorite??

This Week

Well, its been a crazy week. I'll talk about Disney first. :)
In Disney I rode all the rides with my friends. We did Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller coaster, Star Tours, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, (thunder mountain was temporarily closed) Mt. Everest, Africa Safari, and Soarin'. I loved them all! But Mt. Everest and Space Mountain were definitely my favorite! I don't have pictures of our group yet but I will put them up at soon as I can.

Mom and Dad are out of town this week so Elliot and I are enjoying time with Grandpa. :) I've been a little stressed about cooking and housekeeping for this time but it's gone really well. For lunch today Grandpa and I made Salmon and Peas served over Penne pasta. Pretty nice, huh? :) Looking forward to tomorrow, a day at home. :) Yeah!
