Free Flowers

Yesterday we went to the Omaha Flower Festival at St. Cecilia catholic church. I loved seeing all the different flower arrangements there. Some were just beautiful. Before we looked at the flowers we went to a flower arranging demonstration by Paul Simpson the owner of Simply Flowers. He made eight different flower arrangements, I loved watching him put the flowers together. So when his demonstration was over I asked him what he was going to do with the arrangements and he said that the anyone could have them, when he was making them he said a few of them were worth 80-150 dollars. There were a few other people left so I took one and our friends who were with us took two. Then on top of that he gave away all the left over flowers he had not used in the arrangements. So we went home with one arrangement, four pink roses (leftovers), daffodils and some other flowers that I'm not sure what the name is. :) I was so excited!
Here's Paul putting together arrangements.
The church was beautifully decorated with theses "green" arrangements.

This one was hanging from the ceiling.
I liked that in this arrangement they put roses in Mary's hand.
Notice that they put the "branch" with roses hanging from it right where she is looking. The roses that are hanging are real rose petals rolled up and taped together with floral tape.
This picture is a little blurry, but do you see the yellow calla Lilly by my shoulder? It's very lovely.
I love this wreath! This arrangement was my favorite, the lilies are just breath taking!
